Tischlerei-Museum Bremen

Bremen, Freie Hansestadt Bremen

A historic steam-powered joinery in Bremen's Ostertor quarter, this museum holds more than twenty working woodworking machines, most from before 1900. The workshop ran as an industrial business from 1889 to 1986 and opened as a museum in 1990. It shows how carpentry was organised in the age of steam power.
