Modern and contemporary sculpture is the focus here, right next to the Kunsthalle in Bremen's ramparts park. The core is the estate of Gerhard Marcks: around 430 sculptures, 13,000 drawings and over 1,200 prints, shown in changing displays. The building itself, from 1825 with Doric columns, once served as a gatehouse where customs were collected.
