The permanent exhibition told the theatre history of Hanover, with access through the entrance hall of the Schauspielhaus on Prinzenstraße. The collection traced back to a theatre museum of 1927, whose holdings were largely lost in the Second World War and later rebuilt. The museum was closed in 2025.
