Stiftskirchenmuseum Himmelkron

During restoration work at Himmelkron's collegiate church in 1991, sandstone slabs in the choir were turned over and found to be painted on the underside in bright colours, showing Christ, apostles and the foolish virgins, dated to around 1490. The museum presents these slabs beside the church, cloister and knights' chapel. Tours of all four can be arranged on request.
