Deutsches Dampflokomotiv-Museum

The old locomotive depot of Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg, at the foot of the Schiefe Ebene incline, now serves as a steam locomotive museum. A 15-road roundhouse, turntable, water cranes and a coal yard with crane survive on site. Around 30 steam engines are on show, including a Bavarian S 3/6 express locomotive, the tiny PtL 2/2 known as the Glaskasten, and a Prussian P 8.
