Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig

Leipzig, Sachsen

This is the natural place to follow Leipzig's story from its beginnings in the early Middle Ages up to the present. The city history is told in the Old Town Hall on the market square and in the Haus Böttchergäßchen. A ring of smaller themed branches surrounds them: the Monument to the Battle of the Nations with FORUM 1813, the Schillerhaus in Gohlis, the Museum Zum Arabischen Coffe Baum and the Old Stock Exchange. Around 550,000 people visit each year.
