Sächsisches Apothekenmuseum Leipzig

Leipzig, Sachsen

Housed in the former Homöopathische Central-Apotheke on Thomaskirchhof, this museum traces the history of pharmacy with a focus on Leipzig and Saxony. You will see historic privileges and price tariffs, drugs and herbals, plus mortars, scales, pill boards and other tools from pharmacies that still made their own medicines. Particular attention goes to the Linck family of Leipzig apothecaries, who were also noted naturalists.
