Schlossmuseum Sondershausen

The former residence of the counts and princes of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen now houses the castle museum across three floors. The first floor tells the story of the House of Schwarzburg through decorative arts, part of the princely natural history cabinet and historic rooms. On the ground floor stands the princes' Golden Coach, which the museum describes as the oldest of its kind in Germany. The second floor covers regional history and natural history, with particular attention to mining and music, the town's traditions.
