Schloßbergmuseum Chemnitz

Chemnitz, Sachsen

On the Schloßberg, where Emperor Lothar III had a Benedictine monastery founded around 1136, this museum tells the history of Chemnitz. The site is part of the visit: the monastery was last rebuilt in the late Gothic style, and later served as a hunting lodge and a popular excursion spot with a beer garden. Burg Rabenstein is a branch of the museum.
