Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz

Chemnitz, Sachsen

Around 65,000 works make up the Chemnitz Art Collections, spread across several venues in the city. The main house on Theaterplatz occupies the King Albert Museum building, opened in 1909, and also holds the Carlfriedrich Claus Archive. The group further includes the Museum Gunzenhauser, the Henry van de Velde Museum in Villa Esche, the Schlossberg Museum with Rabenstein Castle, and the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff House. Together they let you take in art, architecture and domestic design at different spots around Chemnitz.
