Museumsfeldbahn Leipzig-Lindenau

Leipzig, Sachsen

A narrow-gauge field railway, first used in 1856 to build Leipzig's Karl-Heine-Canal and run until 1991 as a gravel pit's works line, survives here as a museum railway. Part of the route is still in use. Its history spans horse-drawn wagons, electric and steam locomotives and later diesels on 600 mm track.
