Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst

Leipzig, Sachsen

Contemporary art and art since 1945 are the focus of this gallery in Leipzig's Musikviertel, opposite the Johannapark. It occupies an 1894 villa that Peter Kulka remodelled in the late 1990s and extended with a cube-shaped annexe, a project that won the city's architecture prize. The villa also houses a publicly accessible library.
