Sächsisches Psychiatriemuseum

Leipzig, Sachsen

Housed in a town villa in Leipzig's Zentrum-West, this museum traces the history of psychiatry in Saxony. The permanent exhibition follows individual fates such as those of court president Daniel Paul Schreber and the dialect poet Lene Voigt, the careers and treatment ideas of doctors, and the development of institutions from medieval hospitals to the asylums of the 19th century.
