Deutsches Kleingärtnermuseum

Leipzig, Sachsen

Here you can trace how poor-relief gardens and Schreber associations grew into Germany's allotment culture. The permanent exhibition runs from the first allotment society in Kappeln in 1814 to the present, and also covers everyday life in the garden and club organisation. Exhibits include photographs, medals, club banners, trophies, historic garden tools and a model garden shed furnished as around 1900. A museum garden belongs to it.
