Luftfahrt-Museum Laatzen-Hannover
Laatzen, Niedersachsen
This aviation museum fills 3,500 square metres with aircraft, engines and hundreds of scale models, tracing the history of flight. Among the planes are a Focke-Wulf Fw 190, a Messerschmitt Bf 109, a Spitfire, and from the postwar years a MiG-15 and a Starfighter. You can walk inside a section of a Ju 52 fuselage, and an original Jumo 004A jet engine is among the rarer pieces. The collection grew out of a local businessman's private passion for aviation.
