Kölnisches Stadtmuseum

Köln, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Cologne's city history, from the Middle Ages to the present, is the subject here. The collection runs to around 350,000 items, from the city seal of 1268 to paintings, coins, textiles, furniture and everyday objects. Only a small selection is shown, arranged across the centuries around the theme of emotions. The museum sits centrally between the Minorite church and Museum Kolumba.
