Duftmuseum im Farina-Haus

Köln, Nordrhein-Westfalen

This museum occupies the home of the oldest perfume maker still in business, the place where Eau de Cologne was born. Over several floors in the original production rooms, it shows how the scent was made from the earliest days, with distillation apparatus, documents and pictures. You will also see imitations that appeared on the market early on, and how the bottles it was sold in developed. It stands close to Cologne's town hall, opposite the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum.
