Heimatmuseum Dossenheim

The local history museum stands on Rathausstraße in Dossenheim. The same museum group also runs the Leferenz quarry museum, a window onto earth history: a volcanic catastrophe struck here 290 million years ago, and its traces can still be seen in the quartz porphyry. The quarry was named Geotope of the Year in 2009.
