Zoologische Sammlung Rostock

Part of the University of Rostock, this zoological collection dates from 1775 and has a public exhibition room on the ground floor at Universitätsplatz. Its holdings run to about 140,000 series of animals from around the world, including molluscs, fish, birds and scorpions. Historic teaching models, among them some by the Blaschka family, are also part of the collection.
