Weserrenaissance-Museum

Lemgo, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Schloss Brake, just outside Lemgo, is the place to get to grips with the Weser Renaissance, the style of art and culture that flourished in northern and western Germany in the 16th and early 17th centuries. The museum shows how that era took shape in the region and which international influences fed into it. It makes a natural starting point or companion for a trip along the Weser Renaissance Route, which opened in the same year as the museum, 1986.
