Waagenmuseum Balingen

Balingen, Baden-Württemberg

Around 400 exhibits trace how weighing developed, from the simple beam balance to modern shop and industrial scales. Among them are a Roman scale, a delicate coin balance and a wall-mounted inclination scale by the pastor-mechanic Philipp Matthäus Hahn. The museum in the Zollernschloss also shows loans from Balingen scale maker Bizerba, while a large 18th-century hay scale is displayed in the neighbouring tithe barn.
