Stadtmuseum „Wilhelm von Kügelgen“

A Baroque town palace from 1756, close to Ballenstedt's castle, houses the town museum. The façade with its double-flight stairway and mansard roof is worth a look in itself, and the staircase and floors inside are original. Behind the house lies a garden with sculptures. The museum is named after the painter Wilhelm von Kügelgen and covers the town's history.
