Stadtmuseum Weimar

Weimar, Thüringen

Weimar's story is told in a neoclassical townhouse built between 1780 and 1803 for the publisher and entrepreneur Friedrich Justin Bertuch. The city collections have been shown here since 1954, growing out of private collections of the 19th century. It was the first city museum in Thuringia, and it also looks after the German Bee Museum.
