Stadtgalerie Kiel

Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein

This municipal gallery shows contemporary art from Kiel, the wider region and the Baltic Sea area on around 1,000 square metres, usually in themed exhibitions. A permanent display presents paintings and prints by the Expressionist Heinrich Ehmsen (1886–1964), who was born in Kiel. Every two years an exhibition accompanies the Gottfried Brockmann Prize for young Kiel artists.
