Skansen Kurpiowski im. Adama Chętnika w Nowogrodzie

Nowogród, podlaskie

This open-air museum grew from the efforts of Adam Chętnik, who opened it in 1927 as the Kurpie Museum. It is the second-oldest open-air museum in Poland. It stands on a high bank above the Narew in Nowogród, on the site of a former town brickworks. Its ethnographic exhibits relate to the Kurpie people, whose heritage Chętnik had been collecting since 1909.
