On the grounds of the former Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf marshalling yard, a 260,000 square metre site brings together the Saxon Railway Museum and the Seilablaufanlage technical museum. Visitors see historic rolling stock and the rope-operated shunting system from the late 1920s, which lowered wagons down a gentle slope.
