Ruhlaer Uhrenmuseum
Thüringen, Thüringen
On the ground floor of a six-storey brick building from 1929, once part of the watch factory, this museum traces almost 150 years of watchmaking in Ruhla. It displays more than 1,300 watches and clocks and 35 automatons, all designed and made in Ruhla itself. Together they show how central the trade was to the town's economic history.
