Römermuseum Weißenburg

Weißenburg in Bayern, Bayern

Weißenburg sat on the Raetian Limes, the Roman frontier, and this archaeological museum is devoted to it: the Romans in Bavaria and in the surrounding district. The core of the collection is finds from excavations along the frontier, and the Weißenburg treasure hoard has a section of its own. It is a branch of the Archaeological State Collection in Munich and stands next to the Reichsstadtmuseum.
