Pfalz Tilleda

Kelbra, Sachsen-Anhalt

Below the Kyffhäuser hills on the southern edge of the Harz, this medieval royal palace site is now an open-air museum. The palace has been completely excavated, the only one in Germany of which this is true, so you can follow the layout of the former complex on the ground. It is a stop on the Romanesque Road.
