Two sites, Massing and Finsterau, show how farming people in Lower Bavaria once lived, worked and built. At Finsterau, on the edge of the Bavarian Forest near the Czech border, you find farmhouses, complete farmsteads, a village smithy and a roadside inn. Tools and woven cloth are shown in their original setting. Visitors can eat and drink in the old inn, the Ehrn, brought from Kirchaitnach.
