Neues Schloss

Tettnang, Baden-Württemberg

This palace of the Counts of Montfort stands in the middle of Tettnang, Renaissance in its outward look and Baroque inside. Visitors walk through stucco-decorated rooms and small cabinets furnished with pieces by Upper Swabian and French cabinetmakers, which give a vivid picture of princely life here. The three-storey, four-wing building rose on the site of a medieval castle destroyed in the Thirty Years' War.
