Dornier-Museum

Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg

Right beside Friedrichshafen airport, this technology museum follows the aircraft built by Claude Dornier and his company. A modern hangar building and a landscaped park hold planes such as the Dornier 228 and 328, the Alpha Jet and a replica of the Wal flying boat, along with engines, models, drones and satellites. The company's history and its production sites are covered too. The building's floor plan echoes a taxiway junction, and the light installations are by James Turrell.
