Muzeum Lasu i Drewna w Rogowie

Housed in buildings of a university forest research station in the village of Rogów, this museum is all about woodland and trees. The natural history displays include around 460 mounted birds and mammals, with a rich collection of bats, plus antlers, nests, insects and fossil shells. The tree section shows cones from about 240 species, some 350 wood samples, and a collection illustrating tree diseases and parasites. It began in the 1950s as a teaching collection for forestry students and is now open to all visitors.
