Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich w Warszawie

Warszawa, mazowieckie

Set in Muranów, Warsaw's prewar Jewish quarter and the site of the former ghetto, this museum tells the thousand-year story of Jews in Poland rather than focusing only on the Holocaust. The core exhibition opened in 2014. The building, by Finnish architects, has a minimalist exterior of glass fins and copper mesh and a cavernous entrance hall that is worth seeing in itself. It also works as a cultural and educational centre.
