Muzeum Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie w Warszawie

Śródmieście, mazowieckie

Maria Skłodowska was born in 1867 in this townhouse on ulica Freta, in the heart of Warsaw's New Town, and it now tells the story of her life and family. Display cases hold personal belongings of the double Nobel laureate, her father Władysław Skłodowski and her husband Pierre Curie. The exhibition also follows her scientific work in Paris, in the former laboratories of the Radium Institute. She lived here for less than a year before the family moved to Nowolipki.
