In Tirschenreuth's former monastery, this small museum covers themes around the town: fishing, porcelain, local history, nativity scenes, icons, the linguist Johann Andreas Schmeller and the Plan-Weseritz homeland circle. At a branch, the craftsmen's barn in Matzersreuth, volunteers demonstrate on historic machines how barrels were made at the Mikisch cooperage.
