Museum Mitterteich - Porzellan, Glas, Handwerk

In the former plaster-mould workshop of a porcelain factory, this museum tells the industrial story of Mitterteich. Porcelain fills the most space: original workbenches, machines and tableware, plus documents and interviews with former workers, show how the factory made china for the world market from 1886 until it closed in 2005. Further sections cover glass and crafts, and the earlier Rieber porcelain factory also has its place.
