Museumsdruckerei Hoya „Zwiebelfisch“

Hoya, Niedersachsen

In the old dairy in Hoya, about 150 square metres hold historic printing presses and equipment that trace 550 years of letterpress printing with hot-metal type. Highlights are a Linotype machine weighing a tonne and a half and a toggle press of 1866, regarded as the oldest printing press. A printing cylinder recalls the last Weser-Kurier issue set in lead type, in 1984.
