Quaet-Faslem-Haus

Nienburg/Weser, Niedersachsen

The architect Emanuel Bruno Quaet-Faslem built this neoclassical villa as his own home in 1821. It has two storeys, pale pink plaster and a balcony on the south side. The real draw is inside: the three garden-facing rooms upstairs are decorated with coloured French ceiling wallpapers made by a Paris workshop around 1830. The house stands in the former rampart area of Nienburg's town fortifications.
