Museumsdorf Baruther Glashütte

Baruth/Mark, Brandenburg

This museum village sits in the old glassmaking settlement of Glashütte near Baruth and traces how glass was made and how the people here lived and worked. A glassmaker demonstrates and explains his craft to visitors. A separate exhibition covers Reinhold Burger, who invented the thermos flask. Several craftspeople and small businesses have also set up shop in the village.
