Museum Romanisches Haus

Naumburg (Saale), Sachsen-Anhalt

Built of shell limestone between 1150 and 1175, this house on the Romanesque Road is among the oldest surviving stone buildings of a monastic farm in central Germany. Since 1955 it has held a museum on the history of Bad Kösen and its surroundings. The same complex has an exhibition on doll maker Käthe Kruse and one on PEBE, the East German factory that made plastic building sets and toys.
