Museum Hassenhausen 1806

Naumburg (Saale), Sachsen-Anhalt

This museum is about the battle of 14 October 1806, fought at the village of Hassenhausen, the site of the larger of the two battles of Jena and Auerstedt. French troops under Marshal Davout defeated a Prussian army twice their size, and the Prussian commander, the Duke of Brunswick, was mortally wounded here. The museum explains the battle and its place in European history.
