Keramische Werkstatt am Bauhaus
Dornburg-Camburg, Thüringen
Near the rococo palace in Dornburg, the Weimar Bauhaus ran an outpost pottery from 1919 to 1925. It was housed in the former stables, with Gerhard Marcks as form master and local potter Max Krehan as workshop master. Journeymen here also developed a casting process for ceramics, aimed at producing prototypes for industrial manufacture.
