Museum Ludwig

Köln, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Right beside the cathedral and the main station, this museum shows art of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is known for Pop Art, with many works by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, and for a large Picasso collection. German Expressionism, key pieces of the Russian avant-garde and a photography collection of about 70,000 works round it out. The exhibition space covers nearly 9,000 square metres, and the building also houses the Cologne Philharmonic.
