Museum im Stern

Warburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen

A former medieval noble courtyard in Warburg's Neustadt houses the town museum. The permanent display opens with prehistory, including settlement finds from the Linear Pottery culture and the 3.8-tonne Zeichenstein, part of a Neolithic grave near Hohenwepel. It continues with the town's history: its founding and growth, excavations on the Hüffert and the Burgberg, reconstruction drawings of the medieval town and a model of Hardehausen monastery.
