Museum im Schusterhaus

For ten generations, from 1645 to 2010, shoes were made and mended in this house in the middle of Kochel. Today the small village museum keeps the historic cobbler's workshop and tells local stories: the legend of the Kochel blacksmith, forestry and poaching, summer visitors, artists, and the cobblers of the First World War. The listed house itself goes back to the 16th century, and tours are available on request.
