Freilichtmuseum Glentleiten

Spread over about 40 hectares above Großweil, more than 70 historic buildings from rural Upper Bavaria have been rebuilt here as an open-air museum. Alongside large farmsteads there are craftsmen's and smallholders' homes and several alpine pasture buildings. Traditional rural trades are another focus, including whetstone making, mills, sawmills and forges. It lies in the Alpine foothills between Murnau and Lake Kochel.
