Museum im Augustiner-Chorherrenstift

This museum occupies the former Augustinian monastery on Herreninsel, whose Baroque wings enclose a courtyard with a rose garden. It recalls the 1948 Constitution Convention held here, which paved the way for freedom and democracy. Visitors can also see King Ludwig II's former bedroom and the court kitchen. Richly decorated rooms such as the Imperial Hall and the Library Hall have survived.
