Heimatmuseum Prien

Prien am Chiemsee, Bayern

The museum of the western Chiemgau shows objects on the history and art history of the area around Prien. It grew from gifts by an artists' group and donations from nearby villages, and its first inventory book of 1913 already listed 1,500 items. Among the early gifts was Prince Regent Luitpold's hunting hat, donated by his daughter Therese.
