Museum für Ur- und Frühgeschichte Thüringens

Weimar, Thüringen

Anyone curious about how Thuringia looked thousands of years ago will find the story here. The museum covers the region's prehistory and early history on about 1,000 square meters. It occupies a house built in 1790/91 on Amalienstraße in Weimar, opposite the Poseckscher Garten and the Historic Cemetery. The state archaeology service works under the same roof.
